The new J'adore L'Or has kept the spirit of J'adore. It is a luminous and soft, opulent floral J'adore, in which its famous jasmine is adorned by the light yet chic lace of orange blossom. I liked the fragrance from the first sniff. Compared to the modern Eau de Parfum, the new L'Or feels fuller and luxurious, more floral and indeed golden.
J'adore L'Or's white flowers are truly sunlit and pure, as they were described in the press release. Dior advertises the three main flowers of the fragrance: orange blossom absolute, jasmine grandiflorum absolute, and May rose absolute. Yes, it feels as if it has these precious materials inside it. The orange blossom is a brilliant addition; it softens and illuminates the jasmine, adds some green freshness to its start, and a shimmering powdery touch to its trail, so the jasmine smells natural and pure, but also rich, like a glowing jewel.
The rose stays in the background, keeping its delicious rosy flesh covered with the white flowers. However, you can feel the fullness and warmth of the rose.
J'adore L'Or is a ball of flowers.
